Monomoy Island Wildlife Refuge

Seductive wildlife and open water paddle. To the north of the launch site is Stage Harbor and to the south, Outermost Harbor and the Monomoy Island’s Wildlife Refuge. The 3 hours of paddling invites many paths of possibilities and is ideal for the person who has had previous experience kayaking. When the weather is beautiful and the winds are low we exit south among the Monomoy Islands Wildlife Refuge where shore birds nest on untouched grounds and seals play in the shallows picking up shellfish and other small marine life. When the winds create a challenge in the open water we head north paddling through the moored fishing fleets of Chatham and skirting along the coasts of shore front homes paddling towards Oyster Pond or Mill Pond in more protected waters. We will always try and head to the south on this tour however the direction that we choose to paddle is determined predominately by the weather as well as the tides.

The tour price is $70. A $35 deposit is required at time of booking, with the balance to be collected at the time of the tour.
